Our desire is to be a church of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds, united by our salvation in the Lord Jesus. We would love you to join us in our worship and mission.
In 1993, the church that became Grace Bible Church Holland Park was established. Slowly but surely the Lord added to our number and enabled us to first buy a building in Annerley which we quickly outgrew before moving to our current site in Holland Park.
With two morning services and an evening service, we found ourselves again outgrowing this facility. So instead of building a bigger church, we decided that the best way to impact the kingdom was to plant other biblically faithful churches around Brisbane and beyond.
Our network began planting churches in 2013 and by God’s grace our desire is to plant more churches that reflect the grace of God.

Planting Pastor
I was in my fifth year of medical school when I first heard the good news of Jesus in 1984. By 1989 I decided to leave medicine and study at the Master’s Seminary in Los Angeles.
I met my incredible wife Dena there and in 1993 we returned to Brisbane to plant the first Grace Bible Church. I am blessed with four children who love the Lord and am amazed at how great it is to be a grandfather.
I am thankful for men like John MacArthur, John Piper and wonderful examples of the past like Charles Spurgeon and Jonathan Edwards.
I have a passion for training men, preaching the Bible and planting churches. I am so thankful to have served this flock through the highs and lows of ministry and will never get over the grace of undeserved salvation.
I was born in Queensland Australia but went to school in New South Wales. Dropping out of High school in grade 8, I decided to go into the work force.
Within this time, I came to understand the glorious Good News of Christ’s substitutionary death and resurrection for sinners. This truth led me to pursue further education at Queensland Theological College (QTC).
In 2016, I married a beautiful young woman named Salli and we are currently raising 3 kids to the glory of God.
I love reading books on Theology, Apologetics, and Christian fiction – my major influences would be Charles Spurgeon; John Calvin; C.S Lewis; Cornelius Van Til; Greg Bahnsen; Herman Bavinck; Scott Oliphint; Joe Rigney; Douglas Wilson & many more!
I have the great privilege of serving as one of the pastors at Grace and love the clear biblical preaching that extols Christ and humbles man.
I was born and raised in Singapore but came to Brisbane to study at the University of Queensland (UQ) in 2001 – during which time God graciously drew me to Himself in Christ. Upon graduation, I worked for six years in the corporate world before feeling the call to pursue theological studies at Brisbane School of Theology (BST) in 2012.
I joined Grace Bible Church Holland Park as a pastoral intern in 2021 – and now have the tremendous privilege of serving as one of the pastors in a church that I’ve grown to love and cherish.
Some of the men who have influenced and shaped my thinking include the likes of John Stott, D. A. Carson, Thomas Schreiner, and Kevin Vanhoozer – just to name a few.
I am married to the love of my life, Joy – and we have been blessed with two lovely children, Esther and Ezra.
I was blessed to be born into a strong Christian home where going to church twice each Sunday, Sunday School, Christian Endeavour then youth group was the normal rhythm of life for our family. At around 11 years I came under conviction through the faithful preaching of God’s Word that I needed rescuing and that only Jesus could be that rescuer.
I went into the family business after school and over the next few years married Margaret, raised a family of four sons, got more involved in Church ministries and then went into full time training for Pastoral ministry. We served the Lord together in Dalby, Gympie, Chaplaincy, Barnabas Fund and in a couple city Churches before coming to GBC in 2020.
The Lord has used Martyn Lloyd-Jones to have a major impact on my life. I also thank God for the impact and teaching of others such as D A Carson, John Piper, R C Sproul, C H Spurgeon, Dick Lucas, Tim Keller, J I Packer and most of all my wife, Margaret.
I was born and raised in Brisbane. Between my Christian parents and attending a Christian school, I was raised knowing and loving the Lord.
I attended the University of Queensland, studying Biomedical Science and Education, which led to a career as a Science and then Maths teacher. During this time, I married my wonderful wife Maddie and have had our first child together.
I became a member of Grace Bible Church in 2022 and am now preparing to become a Pastor by interning with the church and studying at Queensland Theological College.
In 2021 I started attending Grace Bible Church and started a ministry internship a year later. Before this, I spent 10 years in the construction industry. These years were some of the most formative years for my faith, as it was during this time that I came to understand the good news of Jesus.
It was also during these years that my desire to serve in Cross-Cultural Missions increased, eventually leading to me studying at Brisbane School of Theology.
Before my studies, John Piper had a major influence on my faith, and during my studies, the likes of John Calvin and Thomas Schreiner have greatly encouraged and shaped me.
My passion is to see Christ be made known in areas of the world that are currently unreached with the gospel.
